EFK Moen, LLC, is a D/WBE civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We have been providing professional engineering and surveying services in the transportation sector since 1998. Services are provided to a wide range of clients in both public and private sectors. Governmental clients include state, county, and municipal agencies. Other clients include engineering firms, retail, commercial and industrial developers. Services to these clients include geometric alignments, bridge design, grading, signal, signing and roadway lighting design, construction inspection, erosion control, hydraulics, public involvement, feasibility studies, and surveying.

Job Description:

The purpose of the Intern position is to provide, under the direction of a supervisor/mentor(s), the opportunity to perform civil engineering design in a team-oriented environment. Intern assignments will pertain to transportation engineering for both public and private sectors and will range in scope. Students that intern should have an expressed interest in transportation, bridge, highway, or traffic design.

Compensation: Paid, Temporary/Seasonal

Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

• Enrolled in a University, Technical or Community College Civil/Environmental Engineering program
• Capability to perform mathematical computations/calculations
• High level of personal integrity, ethics, and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Qualifications:

• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time
• Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
• Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software

Employer Preferences:

• Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0
• Allowed School Years: Junior, Senior (Graduating December 2024 - May 2026)
• Allowed Majors: All Civil Engineering Majors
